Savance Enterprise Server (On-Prem) Hardware Recommendations

The hardware recommendations provided below are tailored for an average-sized customer utilizing all available modules. Specific requirements may vary based on client size and the modules in use. Ensure the system meets or exceeds these specifications and has Microsoft .NET 4.7.2 or higher installed. The following assumes that Microsoft SQL Server and Savance Enterprise Server’s services coexist on the same server.

PLEASE NOTE:

We require a standalone server simply for Savance that is not being used for any other purpose. Savance will not be held liable if your legacy system goes down, and Savance will not be able to assist in the restoration.

Additional Server Recommendations:

• Internal hardware RAID controller or SAN with RAID 1 or better for system, data, and log drives.

• Dual power supply for redundancy.

• Dual-processor recommended for running Hyper-V or VMware for easy cloning and snapshot creation.

• Remote App with Terminal Services enabled on a separate virtual machine with necessary RAM Recommended 4GB (Minimum 2GB) per user.

• Minimum requirement SQL 2022, full recovery mode, Transaction-level SQL backups, or SQL Mirroring.

• Dual network cards, one for production and one for backups.

• Nested Virtualization needs to be enabled in the BIOS.

On-Premise Server Access

To facilitate software installation and support, Savance requires remote access to your environment. Our standard remote access tool is Screen Connect. Screen Connect is a secure and seamless tool that allows our team to easily connect and configure your Savance Server.

Our implementation team will work with you to get Screen Connect up and running. You will need to ensure the following domains are whitelisted:

Having these domains whitelisted and ports opened will allow us to set up a screen connect session.

On-Prem 3rd Party Integrations

In the event that you are integrating with one of our 3rd-party vendors, such as Unilog CX1 Showroom, Lights America, or Specbooks you will need the following:

• An SSL certificate installed to the Personal Certificates on the Savance Server

• A DNS route for the integration API, pointed to the Savance Server

Savance Enterprise Client (Cloud/On-Prem) Application Hardware Requirements

A system should meet or exceed these requirements. Below are the remaining minimum requirements to match operating system minimum requirements

• Printer: Laser, InkJet or similar. Server printing supports any printer that can be networked and printed from Windows from the server (driver must be supported by server OS). Client printing can occur to any printer that can be printed from the client system. NOTE: Dot Matrix Printers are not supported.

• Label or Barcode Printer: Any barcode printer that can be networked and printed from Windows (driver must be supported from server OS)

• Counter/ POS Barcode Scanner:

  • Wireless model: Zebra Symbol DS2278-UR Wireless 2D/1D Bluetooth Barcode Scanner/Imager

  • Wired model: Motorola LS2208-SR20007R-NA Barcode Scanner

• Warehouse Barcode Scanner:

  • Android 13 Barcode scanner with 1D and 2D Barcode scan engine, WiFi

  • Devices change frequently so discuss with Savance for recommendations.
